First-Year Leadership Experience

This program focuses on improving your leadership style.  The First-Year Leadership Experience program is based on the Social Change Model of Leadership.  It kicks off with an overnight experience on the Virginia Eastern Shore. Students will focus on their leadership passions, goals, and skill-set for the duration of a semester.  Students will also have the opportunity to meet with ODU faculty, administrators, and student leaders; as well participate in a community service project.  This program includes a commitment over the duration of the Fall semester.  Students are in small groups paired with more experienced student leaders who take on a coaching role.  Groups will meet on Fridays from 2pm-4pm.

Students must be available the weekend of Friday, September 9th - Saturday, September 10th, 2011 as well as for sessions held between 2pm-4pm on Fridays over the course of the fall semester.  The cost of this program is $30.  This covers all materials as well as entire cost of the initial kick off experience.
