Student Ticket Policies for Athletic Events

Old Dominion University students are admitted free to all Old Dominion University athletic events. 

The following policies are in place per each sport for 2012-13:

• Football

Student tickets are available beginning two weeks prior to the game (for a Saturday game tickets will become available that Monday) through 6 p.m. on Friday, one week prior to the game.  Below is a chart that shows when students may reserve their ticket for each home game.  Please note that not every student is guaranteed a ticket as there are a limited number of student tickets.  Therefore we recommend that students reserve their ticket as soon as they become available online.

How to Get Your Student Ticket:

1.)    Bookmarkwww.odusports.com/tickets .  This will be your gateway to the student ticket page. 

2.)    Click on the “Student Ticket” icon on this page.

3.)    This will take you to a log-in page where we will verify that you are enrolled as a full time student at Old Dominion. 

a.)    If you are a returning user, simply log-in using your UIN and password that you created for your account. 

b.)    If this is your first time reserving tickets, simply click “Register” and the system will create you an account. Please note you will need your UIN and email address to create an account.

4.)    Once you are logged into the system a list of games that students can currently register for will show on the screen.

a.)    If all student tickets for a game have already been claimed, a message will    

post on the website informing students that there are no more tickets for that specific game.

5.)    Follow the steps the system takes you through to complete signing up for your complimentary ticket.

6.)    Once you have completed the student ticket registration process you will receive a confirmation email that your ticket order has been accepted and that it will be transferred to your student ID card for admission to the game.

Guest Ticket Policy

All students will have the option to purchase 1 guest ticket while signing up for their complimentary ticket.  Guest tickets are $27 ($28 for the Albany game) and will be emailed to you so that the ticket can be printed at home for game entry. Please note there are only 200 guest tickets available for each home game and they are available on a first come, first serve basis.

Entering the Stadium on Game Day:

1.)     If you received the confirmation email for your ticket order simply bring your student ID card to the student entrance (Gate E) and they will swipe your ID for admittance to the game.

2.)     For guest tickets, simply print the ticket at home and bring it to the student entrance (Gate E) and they will scan the printed ticket there.

3.)     The student entrance (Gate E) will open 90 minutes prior to kick off for all students, with Monarch Maniac members being admitted two hours prior to kick off.

Football Away Game Ticket Information:

For away games there will be a limited number of tickets available for students to attend the games.  You will register for a ticket the same way you register for a home game (detailed instructions above), by going online to www.odusports.com/tickets and logging into your ticket account.  The only difference is for an away game the ticket will not be loaded onto your student ID. Once you have signed up for a ticket you will have to come to the Constant Center with your student ID to pick up your game ticket.

• Men’s and Women’s Basketball - Student tickets for basketball games will be available online at www.odusports.com/tickets using the same steps outlined above for football.  A list of reservation dates are available below. A list of reservation dates will be posted closer to the start of the season.
• Men's and Women's soccer, baseball, wrestling - Student admission to these sports is by presentation of a valid ODU student ID at the student marked ticket entrances.
• Admission to all other ODU athletic events is free, with the exception of selected scholarship games, where students must present a valid ID for admission.
• Student Guest Tickets - Available on a limited basis for football and basketball games. Guest tickets must be purchased at the same time as student online pickup, and limited to one guest ticket per ID. Guest tickets will be emailed and should be printed from home.
• STUDENT TICKETS ARE NON TRANSFERABLE. The resale or attempted resale of the ticket at a higher price than appearing on the ticket is grounds for seizure and voided without compensation. Tickets which are lost, stolen, and counterfeit or obtained from an unauthorized source will be voided.
