Greetings!

It is my pleasure to be serving as the Dean of Students. My goal is to work hard for the students to ensure that each of you has a GREAT Monarch experience. I hope that each Monarch will take advantage of the many opportunities in and out of the classroom. These experiences will enhance your college experience and add to the quality of student life at ODU. We want every Monarch to have a college experience that is filled with learning, fun, and new experiences.

As the Dean of Students, I will strive:

• to assist students with connecting their academic, personal, social, and cultural development

• to provide services and resources that allow students to navigate campus with ease

• to encourage students to be actively engaged in the life of the university

• to support the ODU mission by providing co curricular programming that complements their classroom learning

• to develop,promote and support campus community and traditions

• to foster an environment for students to be active members in the campus community, life long learners, and productive citizens

• to develop a genuine appreciation for difference

• to challenge students to learn more, do more and be more
